And once you&#8217;ve failed to do that, you might not even be halfway through the game, but from then on you know the best you&#8217;re going to get is the generic ending.  And maybe you bother playing the rest of the game out, but you&#8217;re not really enjoying it, because you screwed it up and no matter what you do you can&#8217;t get to the result you want.
