Business Cards

I recently had my cards redone. I did the design myself, and planned to print them myself, but at the recommendation of a colleague, I decided to order them from Vistaprint. He also mentioned that Vistaprint will print on the back, and suggested maybe a solid color to help make the card more eye-catching when it was flipped over. I liked that idea, then decided to go one step further. Here's the result:

I used part of The GO Button logo for the design, but it came out a bit darker than I expected and I don't think you can really tell what it is (even less than usual). You may also notice a resemblance between the headset on the back and the headsetchatter.com logo. I created the image for the business cards, and when I later got the idea for the HeadsetChatter name, I took out one of my cards to see if it would work for the logo. The final logo is a vector-based image I made in Illustrator, but I used this image as the starting point.

I think the cards came out well. My old cards were getting rather long in the tooth and I used to cringe when people would say, "Do you have a card?" I think having these fancy cards might even make me better at networking because I'll want to give them out!

And for old time's sake, here's my very first card -- I didn't even have one, but when I gave my aunt my new card, she still had one in her wallet! It was printed by Staples for $10 for a set of 1,000 in 2001.
